Buoy Buddy app for iPhone and iPad

Check the swell like you check the weather — quickly and easily from the Buoy Buddy Widget in the iOS Notification Center.

Even if your device is locked, you can easily see the current conditions. Just swipe down to show the Notification Center, and youll see data from the buoys that you selected in the Buoy Buddy app.

The app itself has a clean, easy-to-use interface, displaying current conditions as well as a history of buoy data records.

Buoy data is provided by http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov.

Before purchasing, check that there are buoys in your area, and make sure they have wave data. North America, Hawaii, and Europe are well covered. If youre already looking at buoys, this app will save you a lot of time.

Buoy data includes wave size, swell direction and swell period. Some buoys have weather information, such as wind and temperature. Tide data is displayed for buoys close to U.S. tide stations. Measurements can be displayed in metric and celsius

There is a limit of three buoys on the Today Screen due to memory restraints for iOS Today Widgets. On iPhone 5S and below, the limit is two.
